are these ppl affected by closures getting any kind of payout??

The previous severance was max 16 weeks but the company changed the severance policy to max 8 weeks the morning of the layoffs. Awful situation.
The ppl laid off this week got 2 weeks per year, maxing out at 8 weeks. Some employees were there for decades and got less than shorter term employees who left a year or more ago. They changed the policy the day prior, how convenient!
@OP My understanding is no. No money for severance.
