@v6 lol I like you
@sz You optimistic you.
We’ll move to the cloud when mainframe retires ~ 20 more years.
Still working on Cloud and failing, AI will be the same. Governance will stifle innovation and we'll see very little delivered. Of course our peers will do it, and this time it will impact our bottom line.
Been looking at the new AI incubation team and AI.x team - they are AI experts but not financial experts all of their artifacts focus on personalized Gen AI … lol. This means they are sinking unnecessary costs into an unproven hype, but unfortunately, we are the ones to pay when they start putting people on the chopping block just to prove Gen AI ROI doesn’t exist at Schwab just like everywhere else - hence the talent reviews. They sinking money in GenAI and where are they getting the money? Oh yeah the people they’re about to let go and have already laid off.
I see some people are over excited by AI in schwab. They should understand that for a company which took years to decide on cloud platform and still undecided, the reason they are pushing AI aggressively by giving all the models so quickly is to try and reduce the head count once and if AI can show reasonable productivity gains. The slower the AI rolls out, the better for us.
If heads rolled we wouldn't have Menace or Tiny.
