Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

if the Carbon Black brand and technology are so remarkable, why wasn’t there a buyer?

Because they’re cr—py?

VMware paid $2.1 billion to buy Carbon Black in 2019. Broadcom was successful in offloading VMware's end-user computing to KKR for $4 billion right after acquisition. But KKR nor anyone else wanted Carbon Black which went on sale for a mere $1bln + debt. So now BRCM is combining it with Symantec tools. So soon it will be called, I dunno -- "Broadcom's VMWare Velocloud SASE Secured by Symantec by Broadcom's Carbon Black"? Either way, both businesses have been losing to Microsoft and CrowdStrike while market share gains were had by Palo Alto Networks and SentinelOne. Conclusion: both are cr-ppy.
