Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Is this really necessary while people are being laid off?

Accenture said on Thursday it will buy Australian cybersecurity firm CyberCX in its largest-ever deal in the sector, with the Australian Financial Review valuing the transaction at more than A$1 billion ($650 million).

@OP

Acquisitions buy revenue (and messaging, "we have a strategy to accelerate growth"), laying off people messages lower costs (and messaging, "preparing for the future and investing in AI and all the good stuff").

CEO had more of half of revenue via M&As thus far (past 5 years). Someone even posted here, I noticed. Nothing wrong with M&As, more organic growth means healthier performance and many M&As go wrong.

ACN is looking a lot like IBM (not like Christmas) these days.
