Are COP insane? Why would they look at the pile that is Oxy. Everyone in Oil and Gas knows EXACTLY what Oxy and their staff are. They MUST have something planned to deal with all the toxic baggage. COP are not that ignorant.
Even if it were true there is nothing we can do about it. I for one will try and keep my job at Oxy as long as I can for now. There is not much out there in oil and gas to replace it with at this time.
COP just recently digested Marathon... Another meh company just like you. You will be bought by a company that will strip your assets and keep the few that they find tasty. Since you do not publicise your corporate activity outside of the job acceptances and alternate lifestyles, It is difficult to determine your real value. Unfortunately, like HESS, you will be jettisoned into space as waste after the merger.
BS. COP is worse than Oxy and that’s bad enough. COP is going to be sold for scrap soon and so will Oxy the non-petroleum company. The gravy train will finally end for VH.
