I just looked at the transfer and account closing fees at EDJ. They're really going to stick it to us when we take our accounts elsewhere.

@bj Yes, they will cover the $75 transfer fee but not the $95 account closing fee that EJ charges.

Several brokerages, when transferring into a new account from their end via a pull they initiate, will often cover such closing and transfer fees for the customer if requested ahead of time.

It's the Edward Jones way. I almost turned down my job offer because I did not want to move my money here.
