I heard it's being phased out, probably after Christmas.
Downsized at my store, fixtures shipped to another one 100 mi away that is expanding greatly.
As a kids dedicated colleague, Our Toys r us department is only shrinking a bit to make more room for Backstage. Floor move is next week I believe… When have been getting a good amount of truck though for Toys r us from the holidays Barbie for this year, Disney princess, Hot wheels and Fisher price. Then again we are a top producing store in the west coast, so we get more product then a typical store. Definitely is not leaving our store though.
I was wrong when I said they are taking my whole Toys R Us Area at my store. They are just shrinking it according to the associates who work in that area.
We're getting less Backstage toys, thank god, but got at least one rambler full of TRU this week

Based on this week’s truck, my Macys definitely is keeping toys r us. Plus we recently made a huge floor move giving toys r us more and better space.
My manager told me yesterday at my Macys Toys R Us is being removed. She didn’t say why or when. Is this happening at any other Macys? Just curious.
