I’m hearing rumors left and right - more cuts coming, different orgs still to be hit, some regions not yet on the plate. Any idea what’s really going on, or how long these layoffs are expected to last? I’m stressed out, like I imagine most of you are. The lack of communication is just making it even harder.

@a1 You don't have to do any work, you don't even have to show up, unless you think you can find another position. Remember all of you, California does not recognize this as voluntary, you all get Unemployment, if you are denied, be sure to appeal. I was denied once and told that I lied by the low level reviewer, it too 6 months, but the Judge who does the appeals backed it up to the day I applied and I go one fat check.
@ae no, your director just cheating, the next round for your team will start before Thanksgiving.
@ah that's not true, the final list will be ready sometime September and notice going out from September 22.
@OP for yourself, the time line is September 3rd.
Talked with someone whose team got hit today. They lost 3 people and say notifications for US are all done by tomorrow.
My team lost 1 management person.
@af wireless BU
@ae which BU?
Our org got hit decently. However, director said no more additional layoffs (for now), and that all notifications were already sent this morning. Can’t speak for all orgs though.
@a3 when will all notifications go out?
Not everyone has been notified.
I haven’t heard anything yet, but the layoffs have been like clockwork within my org for a few years. Albeit the previous rounds were much smaller, this recent one today has a lot of us shook up. Management says nothing though which makes it even more annoying and stressful.
For me personally, I’m going to start interviewing. I know the market su-ks, but I can collect a few paychecks and do the minimum amount of work until I find the exit.
