Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

How do you like Dell AI Sales Chat?

people dont like using the sales chat cuz its slow, wrong half the time, and just makes more work instead of less... the data in it is kinda trash so the answers come out trash too... bosses keep pushing us to hit some random kpi even when we dont even need it that week... feels like were just trainning the thing to take our jobs one day and thats not cool...

The marketing BS has been around way before AI.

@a2 that's inevitable.
All trainings and internal material (pre-pseudo AI tools) were designed the same way, telling us Dell products are way ahead competition. Sales chat has been trained on that material, so the outcome is inevitable.
The problem is the company is feeding with marketing BS not only customers (which is what most companies do), but also its own employees.

Someone said this previously on another post but I’ll steal there thunder because I found it very insightful.

SalesChat is great to bring a novice up to slightly above average, but someone who is genuinely experienced gains little value and probably rarely needs to use—definitely far less than the 25x weekly KPI.

Yes, in Dell’s mind they want us to train it up so they can fire the higher expense tenured employees and hire an army of younger, inexperienced talent that knows no better.

ISG Use NBA in lightning, everytime it gives a wrong answe it gets a thumbs up, a right answer a thumbs down... Nobody training any AI to eventually take your job...

Just use it for the KPI's but if you know the job its a waste.
I tend to ask the same questions to get the KPI's.

Use it every day to keep up with the 25x- week KPI and 90% of the time it’s either wrong OR its unable to provide an answer after several minutes of “thinking” so I’m actually WASTING time using the stupid thing. PLUS THAT WEBINAR WAS A GIGANTIC LOAD OF TIME SU-KING circlej--kING BS.

I agree with @a2 - the underlining model needs to be tuned so it's realistic - we do not need a cheerleader 24/7 - we need a realistic view into things

The Dell Saleschat tool is also super biased toward making Dell look amazing in every response. When I asked for competitive information, it was so negative about the competitors and made Dell out to be this all amazing solution. When going to google, half of the information given about the competitors was wrong. Facts don't matter as long as Dell is positioned as the best I guess? But you can't walk into a customer meeting with false information. NOT COOL!

It's not good for most Dell process / product related questions.

For account insights, I find it useful.

Try the agents, not just the chat, that's why they're removing it and making you use the agents because people don't realize the potential.

You are correct, we're trying it to do our jobs.
