Things have changed so much. These days, promotions only go to people who repeat whatever leadership says. Used to be a place where new ideas mattered but now it’s safer to just nod along. You speak up and suddenly you are not on the list for anything good.

My health insurance is tied to my employment...it's kind of a big deal.
Be grateful that you are in circumstances that allow you to take layoff/unemployment so lightly.
@OP n the truth hurts for a lot of folks to hear when one speaks up whether it's the truth or not.
Too many people in this world can't handle the truth and would like to be lied to instead.
