Re-branding disaster!

Have there been any consequences to marketing leaders from the rebranding disaster, or did GT and LM make Sam Burd take the blame on that one?

I think this is referring to the client rebranding. Somehow they found a way to make the names more confusing than they ever were !!

The biggest rebranding disaster was not continuing to use the EMC name in the Data Centers. I have a friend who manages infrastructure for a large regional bank. They view Dell as a company that makes reasonably priced laptops but does not make long term commitments to data centers.
Prefacing all of the enterprise and midlevel equipment as Power(whatever) is not a good strategy for that market.
