I’ve been applying for jobs since May—over 500 applications so far—and haven’t gotten a single interview. I’ve even seen some of the same jobs I applied for get reposted. What is going on? Is it just me, or is everyone experiencing this? It’s really wearing me down. My daily commute eats up 3 hours, and I desperately need either a remote position or something closer to my home in Maryland.

I got a new job without even trying, I answered a recruiter on LinkedIn. You should try going through recruiters!
ghost jobs are a thing. linkedin job postings are 50% bust. look for new jobs listed in the past 24 hours.
Easy apply on LinkedIn is a joke rn.
Ditto @c5… OP - you have a fu--ing job and you’re complaining to people that have been laid off. C’mon man. Try doing this without being employed…..
At least you have a job! My job was eliminated in June. Prospects are terrible and need health insurance for a sick spouse.
Been applying since March, only have 2 interviews so far. A lot of folks in the DMV area are looking for jobs because of all the government layoffs, so competition is already intense. I suggest trying other cities if you can relocate. Good luck OP!
@OP yes, it's a terrible job market. Probably only going to get worse.
How many days are you required to come in?
@OP yeah labor market is really bad and our administration is hiding it.
