Our group at Fab 8 was tasked with an equipment capital reallocation from Fab 9 targeted for Q2 2023. Any other Fabs sourcing tooling from Burlington? We are eyeballing a total of 8 300mm platforms. Has anyone at Fab 9 initiated decommission talks on equipment? Curious if this was actually in the works prior to layoff talks.

Don't worry. F9 will find a new owner. F8 will be back to sucking wind in no time.
It's been planned for a few years now to have 200mm Fab 9 move out of 300mm Post Fab work, this has been ongoing and not a new development.
Writing was on the wall as soon as tech transfers were initiated and trusted foundry status was targeted for F8. If Malta can make everything Burlington can make, it’ll be for sale just like F10 was.
