Unlike EMHC and the Permian, the company has not figured out how to replace locals at Kearl with engineers from the BTC. This is why Kearl must be sold and also was a big reason to sell Australia. Countries with strong worker protection laws beware! It doesn’t fit with the new model.

Fewer buyers each day to buy oil sands. With lower oil prices incoming, this asset will need to decrease production as its way too expensive relative all other assets in the circuit.
