I'm not in ISG but layoffs always seem to obliterate them quarter after quarter. Layoff after layoff. idk, wouldn't you be better off finding a new job, lining it up, then hope to get laid off? idk but, if my dept and/or org was continusously mu---red I'd be out.

Cream of the crop on here. ISG earns more money annually and CSG just got taken over by big brother JC again. Plus, the EMC acquisition was one of the best financial acquisitions in the last 20 years (for MD/Silver Lake).
There’s no product line, other than AI servers, doing well. CSG kept us afloat during pandemic, ISG thanks to servers is keeping us afloat now. Hope there’s another massive trend that inflates our business, because share losses in core businesses aren’t slowing down.
@j1 You may be confusing revenue with income. CSG's FY25 revenue was higher by a few billion but ISG's income was higher by a couple of billion (and almost double).
ISG doesn't make the money so it's expendable. Besides... Dell had no idea how to run that department. Dell has no idea what they had when they bought EMC. The first thing they did was dismantle the Corp umbrella. They needed to look into yhe future and assess what they had in the beginning. They had everything and completely missed the boat. The leadership up to the CEO are all floundering ID10T err.
I tell you what - I was at Dell for 25 years, over 20 of it in client. The last part in is, I got constantly backstabbed and all I see on here is constant childish bickering between legacy Dell and legacy EMC, as if y’all haven’t been in the same sinking lifeboat all of these years. Why is ISG constantly getting hit with downsizing? It’s not really a mystery to me. You guys constantly talk about the laptop business in the most condescending manner possible, but they are way more successful at what they do that you ever have been.
Tribalism
Are TSR’s in UK markets going to be affected ? Any word on this, load of people laid off from UK market in channel, tech support etc
Because I get paid more on this side of the aisle than I did in ye olde account management.
ISG layoffs must be related to Sales. Less sales, less people needed.
ISG encompasses mostly everything hardware at Dell. The relevant question is where in ISG are they letting people go.
ISG...where people go to die
No skill to move. Sad.
I like my work. Well at least I used to.
They've worked me down to the bone and I'm constantly in fear of a layoff.
I don't know why they keep hitting ISG when the engineers are making the actual products we sell.
