Thread regarding Optum layoffs

I hate this place

Gets worse everyday. Wish my luck, currently looking. This place mentally and physically drains you. Cannot take this anymore.

I feel you and I have my resignation email typed up already. I've been job searching for the past few months and last month hit me hard as I hate going into work now. Things will get better and a new company will take you in. It's tough now but you've lasted this long. Fake it till you make it. Don't go above and beyond. That new job is just around the corner.

Hang in there for the severance. I'm glad I did.

Hang tight, update your linked in profile (set profile to open to work only for recruiters if you do not want your manager to see you with a #open to work green banner), get your resume ready.

Grab your performance metrics, performance evals (both your manager's and your self evals), and any accolades/awards/Bravos as well. You would be surprised at what you may have forgotten what you have accomplished throughout your time at Optum.

Lastly, start looking at the Health Insurance Marketplace or short term health insurance policies just in case you need something in between jobs, and you can get a good idea of what you need to budget for the interim. Carry over dental and vision if needed via Cobra--surprisingly cheap and is good for 18 months.

I am glad you are looking now because it may take you a while to get your next job. I hope not, but the market is brutal right now so good idea to get a head start. I wish you well!

There's no way any other place has someone as re--rded and incompetent as Mr100xAI, god I wish he would leave because clearly this company is too deserving of him to get rid of him.

Hang in there. It’s not easy to work here with entrenched bureaucratic employees and non functioning offshore teams who are vented on protecting their jobs rather than help others achieve our existing strategies from 10 years ago.
