I think that 700 is already too many people, but I hope that the predictions of those who think that the number of affected could even double will not come true.

Expect another 700 to quit. I don't care if I'm on the list or not - I'm out. (As soon as Stewart's process my application, at least my manager there will know wtf i do).
Five percent in 2022.....because other regions like Dresden can't be acted upon in 2022 due to necessary negotiations with the worker's council and German labor laws. In general, in Europe, unlike the USA, you can't layoff somebody on the spot.
They said five percent headcount and ten percent of employee pay
During the all hands they referenced 5%. They didn’t specify if it was headcount or salary. Those could be two vastly differing numbers.
You have to read the messaging very cautiously. “About 5%” and “Less than 800” were only said in reference to this specific wave of layoffs coming this month in “US and Singapore”. That figure does not include Dresden or other sites.
Yea also the numbers the are saying don’t add up. Like in past they don’t make sense people are just paying attention more… check recent posts for more details
This your first GF layoff? Rule of thumb is take the number they grudgingly admit to, then double it. We're dealing with some very unscrupulous people here.
