Optum has sooo many unqualified senior directors, overseeing dozens of directors, who oversee dozens of senior managers. Its ridiculous! I have never seen a "leadership" structure like this anywhere. Nobody knows who is in charge, and egos regularly rule the day. Not good..
@12n Really desperate org structure for sure. What value are these people bringing. The decision makers should be restructured out of the company for wasting resources and impacting organizational effectiveness.
I'm newer to the company and couldn't BELIEVE how many directors, sr directors, VPs, and CEOs there are from me to the top. it's like at least three directors, 2 senior directors, 3-4 vps, and then 3-4 ceos like wtf

So true. In WellMed there are SVPs reporting to SVPs, VPs reporting to VPs. Do they ever trim at those levels? Nope, always managers and ICs
On the contrary, there are more than enough Indians here, haha.
