Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Why Work

Performatively acting like we can make and sell competitive products and make a competitive margin isn’t enough.

Put your head in the sand and ignore the layoffs, the spinoffs, the je-koffs new and old, and as a cherry on top, the “leader” of your company makes backdoor deals with the CCP that draw the ire of your President. (even though that leader leads by only reading a teleprompter)

What in the actual fuhk are we doing? How little can we do and not lose our jobs while we keep searching for a lifeboat?

Intel should fire two thirds and triple the salaries of those who remain. With that approach you can always hire the best. Makers of busy work will be gone. That's how you focus, not by "just focus".

You can always get another job.
Nobody is forcing you to work for Intel.

The old paradigm never died.
OP has finally figured it out. Bail when you can. The next refresh of RCG's will replace you nicely. Rinse. Repeat.

Do the minumum required. Any extra energy and time you have beyond that should be used in crafting your resume and applying for other jobs. It’s easier to find one while you are already employed don’t wait till you are laid off. Laser’s main mission is to eliminate leading edge tech node competition for the company in the CCP’s backyard.
