yes, this time layoffs are happening in small chunks. $hiti don't want bad publicity in light of so many issues while people are letting go. I guess, management is counting on AI to do the job and fix problems.

@at Most of the 3,500 positions have already been filled back in India, so this isn’t technically a layoff in the traditional sense.
Project Fit is targeting very high/high cost locations and offshoring resources.
It’s called project Fit and there will be several more layoffs into q4. I’ll be back then to gloat.
It's happening and people can believe it or have their head in the sand. It's fine for people to believe what they want. However, it is wrong to say it isn't happening. Maybe you are not seeing it in the thousands right now.
Perhaps it's easier to keep the minions from being upset and get rid of people and teams quietly. I think you should wait until the total for EOY to see #s. Plus i guess you all aren't counting China?? That was 3,500 people. Wake up people.

That’s because widespread mass layoffs aren’t happening. Similarly, the sky is falling types have given up posting as well. Might as well that this forum down for lack of activity
It's not fear, it's planning and readiness.. For some, it's also a blessing that will force them to become entrepreneurs and take control of their lives. Sharing simply allows others to know what the company keeps quiet.
