Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

Haha BNSF in Salt Lake

BNSF is saying 2 trains a week out of Salt Lake. What’s the UP charging for trackage rights? Way to stay competitive!

I'll take all the BNSF trains from
Klamath Falls to Lathrop and Stockton and Donner track right trains.
We at Roseville are hungry and will run anywhere the BNSF wants us to take those trains for 500 a run.

They switch with Genesse and wyoming. Utah Railway owns from Salt lake to Almost Grand Junction. Leases it from UP. They just took over another lease from UP in Oregon.

So UP crews will be handing the BNSF trains out of this facility for now? That’s gonna be an extra expense…

That was a old agreement with Denver Rio Grand. UP Pretty much uses the track for amtrak, a couple bnsf trains a day, alot of storage on sidings.

The railroads pretty much charge eachother 200 million a month (UP/BNSF) for trackage rights, motors etc. Whatever they come up with for a difference, they pay it. BNSF pays UP most of the time.
