@av It sc--ws over anyone who has maxed PTO balance because it's nearly impossible to use it all before FTO starts. Cisco payed out accrued PTO before switching to unlimited PTO.
@ak Payout of unused balances will happen if you leave. Look at the FAQ. Just no payout to transition. You have to burn down your balances before you can participate in the FTO program.
I would advise ppl to submit payout request messages to HR. There’s a growing contingent of employees that have already done so.
No vacation pay out on layoff/firing saves the company lots of cash.
