Not sure how each location looks but for South NJ (Burlington) it's a total ghost town and that's just the parking lot... Doesn't even matter what day of the week it is. Inside is no better, you see the same people who just look more and more miserable because they have to come to a place where you are so micro-managed.. Some depts are short staffed and there is no urgency to fill those spots.. I guess they aren't worried since alot of the work is being outsourced to the Phillipines anyway.. People get to WFH (not just for a day or 2,but a few days) without having to come in on the alternate days, but hey, everyone has their favorites... Just venting..

Let's be honest. Nothing has changed over the past year since the merger between Melville and Boca. Same old Canon USA and OCe silo. Professional services is still not integrated and will probably never be until the OCe mentality is cleared. Not to mention the huge amount of infighting between managers. Same can be said for marketing between Boca and NY, no clear leadership. The office printing and production printing teams are constantly at each other's throats, very apparent from all the competing posts on Linkedin. Still the toxic environment of a year ago.
I think I can sum up this company in a couple sentences.
For starters, this company doesn’t care about you. You, and everyone, are replaceable. Someone out there is separate to get a job so the idea is to push “top down” until you get burnt out and leave.
Sales is a joke. No demand for the product but we are raising the price. I spoke to a sales rep last week and they told me they can’t make money here because they can’t be competitively priced and have positive GP. The company’s pricing structure is out of touch with reality. We are losing clients everyday because competition is undercutting us. Thats what he said and it seems to be true.
AP is a mess. Now that Steve is out we have a lack of leadership. Customers are behind on bills and they think calling and sending more harsh emails will get them paid. Ha!
Senior leadership is starting to get a dose of reality.
Go ahead downsize. This company has been trashed on every labor board. You will attract no talent and this once great company will continue to sink like the titanic.
Total dysfunction and chaos everyday. Sales blaming business operations, business operations blaming sales. The truth lies somewhere in between. Both sagging sales & inefficient operations are to blame. They’ve created a monster which is just too far gone to be reversed. Nobody can be expected to clean this mess up overnight. Bad strategic decisions made years ago continue to erode revenue. The inability and unwillingness to generate new revenue streams is apparent. Senior management presents false bravado at town halls and all-company meetings, but are panicking behind closed doors every month-end. It’s beyond exhausting dealing with this drama.
Y'all hiring?
