most of the time they layoff around the holidays. why so you will be around family to tell you it will be ok and it is for the best. But lets be real it is not a layoff you have been fired. You are a number in corporations thats it. The only person on earth who cares about you is you. So you can give up and cry or fight pick one.

Typically, layoffs happen on Mondays and Fridays, though sometimes they occur mid-week if they're behind schedule. Regardless, the company has been letting people go on a daily basis for several months now.
If you're not on the list yet, there's a strong chance your turn is coming, maybe not this year, but likely next year, depending on your position within the organization. Dell is following a layoff roadmap, though it hasn't been leaked yet.
