Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Disgrace

The Trump administration threw Boeing a bone on the F-47 program; totally and completely undeserved. Now those facilities are striking. Go figure....

@k8

The military test pilot did not even wanna fly Boeing’s F 32 aircraft manufactured for the F 35 competition. Much less the vertical takeoff requirement they completely ignored.

Boeing had zero chance of winning that competition would not surprise me if the F 47 design is also inferior to the Lockheed design.

Boeing will be years late, millions possibly billions over budget, like they’ve done on all their last programs.

Trump said he's the peace time president, so maybe this was intentional. Bless the slackers at Boeing for delaying this monstrous war machine.

@k7+1k1tsyfms, it is true that Boeing ignored specific requirements in the f-35 competition. The aircraft was also ugly as he-l.

However, the aircraft itself was the superior airplane.

I'm not Boeing fan, left the company before COVID, but I am an aviation geek.

Boeing's submission was superior, just not what the AF was looking for.

When they awarded the F 35 there were photos of both airplanes each company proposed. It was pretty clear why Boeing lost.

they don’t show the two competing airplanes for this program, The F 47. I suspect it’s because Lockheed had a better design.

I think if they had shown what each company proposed, the majority of the public would believe Lockheed had a better design.
