Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is RTO now the only thing of interest here?

Every second post is about RTO. Enough is enough.

I agree! RTO is a proven failure anywhere it's been tried. Time for Verizon to exhibit some leadership and rescind it enterprise-wide. Anyone who wants to be in can, and anyone who doesn't want to never has to.

You will immediately see RTO posts drop to zero. Until then, I'm afraid I've got some bad news for you.

Quasimodo, we get it—you’ve found your bell tower, and it’s called middle management.
But ringing it louder doesn’t make you right. You’re just another echo in a hollow cathedral of corporate groupthink.

While the rest of us are talking about innovation, you’re clinging to a cubicle like it’s sacred ground. Newsflash: showing up five days a week to do what can be done in two isn’t dedication—it’s desperation.

You can call it culture, alignment, whatever helps you sleep at night. But the truth is, you’re defending a system that’s already collapsing under the weight of its own irrelevance.

So go ahead—keep worshipping at the altar of outdated policies and performative loyalty.
The rest of us?
We’re building what’s next—far from the shadow of your bell tower.

You are correct! In my decades of in‐office work, I have never, not even once, witnessed a moment of non-work focused time.

No weekend plan rundown, no vacation recaps, no sports chit chat, no cat conversations. Nothing but pure work work work all day every day.

Thank you for reminding us all about that.

In the event that I'm mistaken and you are just whining about others, please step on a Lego. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Fight the man and join the 99% by calling out sick or using PTO on 9/9 to protest RTO!

The cost of having people work from home is much greater than the cost of HVAC in an office. You need to go to the office and actually work instead of sleeping in and doing personal tasks around the house all day.

The fact they only complaining proves how valueless they are here’s my points 1. By the union even approving this was the beginning of the end yes I understand at the time Covid waaa waaa but now it’s LITERALLY over but instead u worried about safety🤣🤣 2. U save the company tons of cash for not paying for heat/ac/lights etc and even gave them opportunity to offload properties for cash some CO’s are mix use for apts in some states but company crying we have no money 3. Now that they got rid of some of your former locations they can contractually say “ well here’s ur options return to this location or no job” Union played checkers while they played chess they are now in the driving seat in negotiations and that’s why they are mute about everything as we speak I’m sure when we do find out it’s not gonna be good so I suggest u brace for impact cause we are going down
