They can read your personal files and when they let you go they'll lock down your computer and won't let you get anything off it. Happened to a co-worker last layoff

best is to disconnect your wifi when you get your HR call, when they say bye just disconnect it. These great leaders normally notify a slack channel so they lock your laptop, you can get ahead of them, but be quick.
Good advice for ANY company.
When I came into five9 for orientation the infosec team literally begged us not to do personal finance stuff on our corporate laptops because the team does not want to see what we bring home.
It's literally in our contracts.
Why on earth would you have any personal files on your laptop?
This is standard of every company with an IT + Infosec team...
