Q2 is a great company, but they have recently announced a RTO, that includes people that were never in office staff "returning" to the office. Their definition of local is 50 mile radius. It doesn't matter your location or commute. Life happens and you want to move; look for a new job. The have stated their intention is to not require more than two days in the office. Okay. For how long? If they are going to be asking their ICs to go to the office, then every Director and higher should be in the office.

Agree, job sat does depend on team and mgr.
Just a hunch, but I do believe people that aren't in an office will have a difficult to impossible time moving to a new role.
The part about Q2 being a great workplace… Well that depends on your team and manager. On certain teams it’s the best place I’ve ever work and on other teams it’s the worst.
Yeah, they didn’t do it for all US offices, just 4. To my knowledge they excluded California and Des Moines Iowa. Thats where a lot of people work and they don’t have to go to the office. I doubt directors and higher ups will have to go in. I wonder if they provide exemptions for people.
