Qualcomm is currently under hiring freeze, and layoff is coming soon. In the past few years, everyone in the PTE has observed a lot of the higher-ups are recruited from foundries, have been relying on KPI management, completely losing the mindset of R&D. Failure is not allowed, and the management style is purely exploitative, with zero innovation. On top of that, most of the colleagues in the department are just slacking off, just trying the best to flatter...very few people are actually working hard. It’s a classic example of bad money driving out good.

They should lay off the entire San Diego PMIC team and offshore them to TJ. That's the future.
I sure hope so. I am being pushed out right now, and would love a package on my way out. But I know my Dir will do everything to set me up for failure, and hope that she can make me miserable enough that I go on my own. This is after nearly 20 years, constantly getting great reviews and promotions, but I'm not the "yes man" the Dir wants
Are they going to clean up PMIC finally? So hard to work with clueless Sr Directors and wavers over there. Nah....
It's the Qualcomm Way
