So as employees we will have a dashboard to check and monitor our compliance with the new policy. Does anyone know how it works? Is it a classic clock in /clock out which is only accessible in a Medtronic office? Is it as simple as accruing 32 such hours each week minus whatever you take as PTO? I imagine we will find a few hacks in the beginning…. This should be fun!!!!

Hahahaha.
Some days I am not there but I leave my computer behind and I still get credit for a day.
The dashboard is not counting some days. I confirmed with others at my site.
The dashboard is inaccurate. Some people report that they swipe their badge to get into the building and login, but the dashboard do not show the activities. They become panicky and do not know what to do. The whole idea of tracking RTO is intrusive and disrespectful. As long as you are getting your work done, why does it matter that you work remote or onsite?
@2sw thanks. What constitutes a “day “. How is it measured. What are the inputs and sources?
I saw a PPT explaining how the dashboard works. In a nutshell, each quarter, you are expected to show up a number of days calculated based on the number of weeks in the quarter, minus holidays and 1/4 of your annual vacation days.
Any updates on how this works? We are 2 weeks away!
Sorry about this late post, anyway. Notice you have a GOAL this year to RTO. So if your a sometimes coming in as required employee. Your going to find out what happens come next Apr during your review. Managers won't be around to help you on this sc--w up.
@OP I heard that the first week we will be required to be there Tuesday-Friday. Monday is a holiday.
Get ready!
People still haven’t seriously been able to explain how the tool will work and how the inputs are derived.
I will speculate that there is a virtual time card that can be accessed only when you are on Medtronic intranet, in a Medtronic facility.
If there’s a holiday or PTO in a week, are we expected to come in all remaining days ?
I work in IT and can confirm. Upper management will do anything to justify firing you. They know there is a line of people willing to take your job for a fraction of your salary.
It’s not just badge in - presence at a site will be measured by your IP address. They know who is onsite and for how long. Don’t attempt coffee badging.
just go to "medtronic dot officespacesoftware dot com" and search for your name. If you badged in "bingo there you are if your assigned a cube.
Hope this helps
It's a Power BI. It detects your badge swipes. Try to game it and you're 100% losing your job.
It already exists, but currently only has an executive view.
@bq don't forget about the bar charts & graphs..... lol too many chart wizards in that place
Medtronic barely has 2 nickels to rub together. Stop worrying about tracking.
Never saw a dash email link ... maybe those who did are being targeted for a PIF or RIF
There’s no secret or tips or tricks. The expectation is to be at the office 4 days a week with a giant smile on your face and don’t complain.
I retired from Medtronic but this sounds like typical Medtronic needlessly complicating what should be very simple. Let me guess, there was a twelve page PowerPoint with 17 links to PDFs and videos explaining the new system.
