The devil isn’t in the details - this is about pushing us out. Plain and simple. The worse the RTO requirements get, the more people either burn out, get fed up, or just can’t comply and leave. That’s the point. It’s not poor RTO management by accident, it’s bad by design. Our frustration isn’t a side effect of incompetence. It’s the strategy.

Framing it as “just quit if you don’t like it” ignores the real issue: inconsistent RTO policies that don’t align with performance outcomes or employee needs.
Verizon can’t position itself as a technology leader externally while dismissing internal concerns as if it’s a basic service provider. Strategic clarity and respect for the workforce should go hand in hand.
@bk+ totally agree with you
it is employment-at-will, If you do not like the company RTO policy, then QUIT.
Reason folks are whining is because they cannot find a better job.
Verizon is not technology company, it is service provider,
We are 3 time a week for years in Miami Value. We have positive growth for bottom lines. Time for the post pay wireless to grow. If it don’t you can be four time a week.
Fight the man and join the 99% by calling out or using PTO on 9/9!
@ax then quit! We double dog dare you. But we know you won't. Amazon, MSFT. ATT, Starbucks, Apple, Oracle, even Zoom, and countless others have RTO. Go work for a startup. Or respond to those WFH text. Its not about technology available, its what they want and the new norm. Why don't you WFH and home school the kids? Tech is there
@a5
All of us that have been back three days a week are scratching our heads like whats the big deal? They monitor your badge scan at your office. Managers are task to be checking on you. Directors dropping in the office every so often. Few if any will quit.
That’s a lazy generalization disguised as a leadership talking point. WFH isn’t ‘so COVID era’—it’s a legitimate evolution in how knowledge work gets done. The only thing that’s outdated is forcing people back into office parks for optics while pretending it builds culture. What builds culture is trust, transparency, and outcomes—not badge swipes.
If you don't work in office, AI robots will replace you more quickly fewls!
And ignorance like yours is timeless
Those poor folks that were forced to take roles that they knew had to be in person?
Yeah, they made their decisions for good or bad and they can continue to live with them.
@a5 They certainly aren’t now. But my guess is those of us that have a lot of vacation are going to use up that time on in office day’s. We have an entire population that never comes into the office as they have a WPA. And this is fine…total BS.
I feel bad for all the in-store reps and Fios installers that go to work 5 days a week. They should totally whine about it and try and get 3 days a week like our precious corporate overlords get.
I have my doubts on how many people will actually leave because of RTO. I can’t see it being more than 500 people, most will just keep their heads down and after a few months it will be normal.
What I think will be interesting is if/how they monitor compliance with the policy and if anyone is actually fired for non compliance
This is exactly what’s happening. They knew the consequences and impacts of this to us and they did it anyway. It was planned and purposeful. I can’t imagine treating employees badly while asking them with a smile to go above and beyond. Kinda odd strategy.
