But look at all the money they saved. Next quarters profit will be off the hook! I mean, they saved $0.4b by settling for $0.8b

It's really curious how the GC and head of litigation are still employed. At most public companies, they would have had the shame to quit by now ... or been fired. P66 seems to be celebrating this achievement. Maybe institutional shareholders will finally ask questions...

Only one executive has overseen this, the decline in our focus and accountability for results, the failure of SAP, the failure of AE66, underinvestment in our refining assets, and the ballooning of our debt: KM

The board, ML, and Elliott need to wake up that it is time to move on from him as he does not demonstrate the mindset that ML says he wants to see

@OP There is one member of the ELT that was there when all of this happened and that person remains over the group that was involved. Makes you wonder.

The judge in the case said Phillips behavior in these business practices were reprehensible.
It is true that Go Go wasn’t with the company when this case started but he had to have been brought up to speed since then.
This loss is on him and the Legal Department. This is not just a financial loss but real harm has been done to Phillips reputation.
Phillips should have settled for some amount of money.
Then the responsible people should have been held accountable.
Instead, Go Go embarked on the disastrous failure that is BT.
