Writing software is pedestrian. That’s why we offshore. It’s coming up with the ideas, designing them, building a POC and aligning people that is hard. Then you hand it off.

Coding is a young persons game. Once you get to 10 years in if you are still coding your career is stunted as a general rule. I stopped writing code in 1986 and kept working in the IT field until 2024.
There is no longer anyone good enough there to mentor the college hires or folks coming up. Sad and appears deliberate.
