Paid on base salary or OTE

Hi all,

Does anyone know if you get paid on OTE OR base salary, I’m in sales and 30% of my sales is based on OTE?

Probably depends on your level - IC level, leadership level, as well as how long you've been w/ the company - and what your OTE actually is. My friend was laid off and he got a severance for his base salary. NOT OTE. This was in February or March of this year.

He was an Account MGR lvl 2 if that makes any difference. If your base is say 100k but your OTE is 150-250, Dell is going to take your average metrics over your career and then give you that. THey sure af aren't gonna give you a severance based off a 200k OTE if you rarely met your numbers though lol
