Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Management lacks foresight/direction of the tech industry. They always miss the train and play catch up..

Most folks in the management have started as an engineer and grown over the years within Qualcomm. It is difficult for them to think outside the box and come with new ideas or venture to new areas natively or through right M&As. We are always late in every tech area (other than modem) and try to do catch up at least 3-4 years later, when the train has left… Management lacks that foresight… Broadcom is a good example through right M&As over years are well positioned for the AI era…

Layoffs will not increase revenues. The stock price represents the belief of investors in the future capabilities of the company in increasing revenues. Q present is a clear declin in handset revenue, and the future is unclear in other segments...

Maybe not a technology problem, more of a layoff problem. We are falling behind even in the layoff department compared to Microsoft and meta. Announce 10% layoffs and stock will jump.
