Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Dell IT Layoffs

Anyone know when IT is going to be hit? I've heard rumors of next week... but I've been hearing that for a year or so now.

Yeah, that sounds about right. A coworker of mine told me nine years ago—he’s no longer with us, rest in peace—that he wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up shutting down the RR and OKC offices. Turns out, he was spot on.

To make things even worse, they changed the RDR policy in tech support and set an unrealistic target just so they can put more people on a PIP. Some people have been already laid off with a PIP, and more layoffs are expected around August. The way they get things done is unethical. Makes me wonder why we’re the ones being told to take "ethics" courses. LOL This is the pot calling the kettle back. Absolute bullsh-t coming from the top management.

We all see where this is heading.

Whatever it is, it is not enough. Especially from the top.

The process has already commenced at certain EMEA locations over the last two weeks. Although it is a slow process, I suspect they are attempting to evade media attention.
