They are called furloughs not COLA, Costly Operational Layoffs Actually, and if you are a really good employee, you can volunteer to furlough yourself to help the company highlight that they don’t need you.

If Temple was giving out cost of living increases (they aren't), they could save more money by letting the carman inspect coal trains like they've always done before. Guess wtf derailed on the fuel pad in Temple today for the first time ever? I'll give you three tries, and the first two don't count. Guess how much it will cost to have contractors clean up the mess? About a years wages for a carman.

Spend a dollar to save a dime. Short-sighted toddlers running this company into the ground.
