Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Rick laughed in your face

Rick scoffed and laughed in your face when people dared to ask for RTO updates. How many times would he get that question he asked. Hybrid is working and they are happy with it he said.

All the while waiting for the employment market to turn. They timed RTOs so that if people left, they would have no where to go because hiring dried up. They are playing games with your livelihood and well being. Follow our bull s demands that have no real benefit for your work or good luck finding another way to pay your bills.

They knew this is where we were going, but they couldn't get away with it 3 years ago because job seekers had options. Remember this next time this company hits a tough spot and they ask people step up.

And don't forget the only reason we got sent home during the pandemic to start with is because schwab got called out by a financial reporting outlet for putting it employees and the country at risk while every other firm had already sent them home. That is what they think of you.

@OP These corpos are all getting worse and worse. It was well known 10-15 years ago...maybe even 20, that corporations liked to hire people right out of college or with families because they had them by the short and curlies (school debt, can't let the family starve). Now, they are flat out telling you that you have no choice because you can't find work elsewhere. Then, when the company falls into trouble, boy do they cry.
Remember the United Healthcare CEO? After he got his comeuppance, the other CEOs cried they needed protection. You reap what you sow, MFer!

I am proud to once again be given the "fell for it again" award! I have a supernaturally keen sense to always get betrayed by corporate leadership figures! You know what's great? We all get to win this award no matter where we go, because betraying American workers to make one single red cent more is the only corporate culture that's still alive and well today! I can't wait to put in my two weeks and work elsewhere then have the same thing happen to me in six months. This is definitely a great model for the American way of life. Anyone that says otherwise is obviously just a complainer. I for one didn't want a sabbatical, I hope next they take our bonuses!
