The audacity Renee has to send such an email specifying 8 hours minimum !! She herself is Tcommute. What about the hundreds of hours we put after work during releases, tech lines and priority development work? You think we are robots ? I will put it my 8 hours, but I dare you to call me after 5pm!

My work phone has been dead for like 17 days now. I’m good at what I do but 8 hours is the maximum, not my minimum.
Tell me about it. I called it out directly on a chat with my team and manager. I need to join releases late at night and sometime work over 10 hours a day. I'm thinking I'll announce I'm quitting during a team meeting (no two weeks) with over 50 people this week and call it out. Have fun getting the chat and email project complete that you severely underestimated ;). She is so out of touch and has likely never been an individual contributer in IT. She is a military brat nepo baby. Daddy helped her move up at USAA.
Probably just their plan to cause attrition so they can expand the footprint in Hyderabad though.
