Don't forget Ireland. But pre remote work we always hired abroad whether that was offshore or near or brought to here. Stand outs even are sent to MIT , Caltech etc... We even have a valid need for follow the Sun model of work. But the Change model and lack of upper management understanding that thing can be completed where the proper redundancy is place don't allow alot of work to take place in certain depts unless it's between 7pm and 7am CT . Ireland general start time 9am = 3am CT for a period of time that goes up to 4am daylight savings for a minute. So productivity gets a slap until mgmt come online at minimum 6am CT or 7am. ... Food for thought. Maybe more trust in the offshore staffing . At the end of the day it's not the offshore teams or locations fault jobs are going it's our local management decisions and adequate skill shortages. Along with the labour costs and lack of red tapes. The same happens in reverse aswell in Europe jobs get sent to us and India . You just don't here about it . Generally no one cares from what take in Europe about it or if they do the impact and blame is not pointed at anyone it's ... Understood

yes and even senior AI/ML engineers have been laid off.
Those who literally are the brain trust have been sacrificed on the altar of shipping all jobs to India and the Philippines.
