One time at Kroger my department manager had me sign a form stating I could be subjected to termination if the cart straps keep breaking yet I wasn't the one who was breaking them, you didn't dare question the situation as my manager will feel disrespected and called out for her wrongdoing and you did not want to pi-s our manager off as pi----g her off is like pi----g off a mobster, I was even afraid to ask her if I was being written up out of fear of retaliation and getting screamed at.
I ended up signing the form just to get my manager off of my back
I later asked my supervisor who was with her if I've gotten written up, she reluctantly told me I didn't and that it was another read & sign form, you could tell she did not want to engage in this conversation, she ended up quitting shortly afterwards, if our manager saw me asking my supervisor for clarification she would've lashed out at me and berate me for gossiping.
