I've already had the pleasure of passing on interviewing (and hiring) those former Dell co-workers who behaved badly, while also going out of my way to help those who deserve it.

He needs to take it to HR although I can bet they won't do anything.

What's funny is our Sr Director (now demoted to director) blackmail one of my coworker to give him a 10 on telldell or get listed to WFR as well. Leaders like this needs to fired immediately!

The Sr. Dir Product had manufactured evidence to lay me off. This was confirmed by another team mate who had been with him for over 10 yrs. The Sr. Dir did this to create vacancy for his friend to take over. This is what the Sr. Dir was busy doing instead of HIS JOB for which he was hired. He would threaten the team to give him 10 stars in tell dell. Obviously the customer was not happy with the product and no one bought it.

Fast forward couple of years.. neither the friend was saved from total wipe out of the team, nor is the Sr. dir . His incompetency took down his own team, the Engineering team, his own mgr - the VP Product and the other associated Marketing and product team members.. He and his mgr are awaiting lay off this season. Cheers to karma.
This is classic - one drop of poison , destroys the whole milk.
Dell should reconsider hiring process of Executives.

I loved the "Do you plan to be working at Dell a year from now" question. B!tch, you tell me!

When you hear the company is constantly shedding jobs, it's hard not to get negative on the situation.

You wonder about things like:

  • What are Dell future plans?
  • You used to have colleagues that could help but now, they are gone and the replacements have zero training.

BTW: My group still have not heard about the Tell Dell results.

Everyone that has a job has it for financial necessity. If you didn’t need money you wouldn’t work unless you’re a mo--n.

For many, the company feels more like a financial necessity than a career choice. There is a noticeable lack of engagement, largely due to diminishing morale, stagnant incentives, and a general sense that employee well-being is no longer a priority. Without meaningful reasons to stay whether cultural, professional, or financial it’s hard to see long-term commitment being sustainable.
