Nothing wrong with layoffs as long as the RIGHT PEOPLE ARE LAID OFF!
Why do the H1B get saved in CPM? Everyone else laid off and done, the H1Bs get moved to other teams?
Still lots of id--ts manager that have no clue on the scope and they think they are safe because they believe they have experience!! I would like for once see accountability on this type of managers

There were VPs layed off in Oregon. I know 4 of them that could not see a future with the ET members who for 25 years did sh-t but play Intel games. so asked for the package and they “retired”. Sad but true fact is that they were really good very technical VPs. They got counted as layoffs but really they wanted out because of the old timer ET members most which are NOT technical.
Hardly any other CVP, VP, directors got layed off and per the other earlier post by someone only 8-9% managers got layed off and mainly technical engineers got the hatch it.

Typical messed up Intel layoffs. After the late 2024 layoff I noticed how peanut butter smooth it was. This is all politics and keeping your job - regardless of your contribution to the bottom line. It always has been.
To layoff X% in some corporate functions you must also layoff X% in product and process groups. These end up being mid-level or junior ICs.

For all you clowns who say no managers were affected, wasn't 22% of lay offs in the OR WARN notice management job titles? So between 1 in 5 to 1 in 4... Yes, a lot of soldiers were hit too, but this round definitly did a number on management (plus quite a few other managers with 10 plus years of experience who have relevant job skills were put into new IC roles instead of walking the experience).
