Intel is hopelessly circling the drain, and has been for at least a decade. Close the fabs or sell them, The secondary market could use all the tools.

@ev 75k is just the target to get to by the end of this year. There will be a new target for 2026.
Fact is, 75k employees is still a ton of people making their living off of a company. The last thing I want to do is flood the market with 75k people and also taking the economic impact of that in the US and other countries.

Actually may happen. Intel will end up paying someone to take the fabs.
