I have a security/privacy flaw for you. I have Ford Pass access to a lease vehicle I turned in 2 years ago. I know what the mileage is, how full the gas tank is, what the remaining oil life is, the exact address where this car is parked. I could activate the ho-n and lights, lock it, unlock it or start it remotely.
I am an agency employee working at Ford, and I have sent three separate emails to employees involved with customer service and Ford Pass and "Customer Experience" including Elena Ford.
My concern goes nowhere. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The current owner obviously doesn't use Ford Pass so they have no idea that I still have access to their vehicle from halfway across the country. The system just needs to be reset, but a master reset was never done at the dealer when I turned in my vehicle. And yes, I could remove this vehicle from my Ford Pass app. But at this point I want to see how long it stays on there.
