RTO 4 Day Is Only 80% Efficient?

If working at the office is more efficient, Why not have a 5 day RTO to strive to be 100% efficient?

When watching the building industrial excellence kg, jb, cg all had nice personalized offices. They should Gemba around the r&e center in that bus and see how the commoners are circling the parking lots and parking in the travel lanes in the parking lots. Also go in buildings and see majority of desks "claimed" with personal items and parts and not following the hoteling rules. They should have a copy of Animal Farm on the bookshelf behind them and whenever we cite concerns with hoteling quote the book "all animals are equal but some are more equal than others"

With the tax breaks on overtime, F can implement RTO always. No remote work, leaks company secrets. Besides if the line workers can pull double shifts to get Jon one done so can white collar pencil pushers.

My only request, please ditch the whole "hoteling" thing. Love coming in with monitors reconfigured, cables/power supplies missing, unknown residue on the chair, etc.

If the job market for American tech workers improves, they will relent.

Also, there’s just so much failing companies like Ford can waste on offices for information workers to plead the commercial real estate landlords and bankers before they start looking at ways to cut costs— to survive. And a big needless expense with zero return is leasing and maintaining office space e for people who really don’t need it.

Rumors are we will be going back to 5 days a week in 2026. More attrition which is what they want. Going back to pre-Covid is a step backwards. What happened to go into the office for collaboration? They will say what they want, do what they want, make exceptions for those they want. It will be interesting to see what they get after all this nonsense. Being watched by big brother just doesn’t sit right.

This is obviously sarcasm.

It points out that efficiency, productivity, collaboration are not the objectives.

However, it might a team-building shared hardship like being in a WWI foxhole for months, considering the condition of the so-called “offices” we have to return to.

RTO will not fix the recalls.

OS Behaviors will not fix this either.

Enforce RTO for those who don't work remotely, but look the other way for those who do.

DF's "bunny slippers" comment is a contradiction.
