The truth is this CEOs don't have any crystal ball. What they are doing is just trying to make numbers by cutting OPEX expenses( Headcount). Every quarter there will be layoffs as this ship is not going to turn around anytime soon or in near future. Stay positive and strong and take one day at a time.. This is the sad situation in current US economy.. Govt is busy funding wars.. Useless.

OP, the economy is holding up pretty well. The job market is tight for tech but that is because people are being replaced. Use your own observations and realize that it is time to get the F out of Intel and tech in general. Learn a trade.
