Thread regarding Ford layoffs

It is obvious that Ford has lost their mind. This company cannot and will not

Last much longer. It doesn’t matter how many people they fire / layoff or how many jobs they send to Mexico, India, etc. They have wasted so much money and time on failures such as electric vehicles, DEI and outsourcing anything and everything from white collar jobs, IT. The software used for company applications is such a mess. Whether it be for what a customer uses or wat employees use to do their jobs. I even have customers who have figured out that these apps are being handled by third parties since they mess up so much and take too long to fix. They actually tell me that Ford should fire their sorry vendors. It also makes it hard to do your job each day when you are doing customer service and constantly having to detail and do screenshots of problems for vendors to fix it. What a sorry mess.

I don't think ford has ever had a lot of people working on DEI. It's really a non-issue. The whole anti-DEI thing is just a wedge issue designed to whip the partisan base into a frenzy to gain votes.

The last time Ford went overboard with DEI type policies was the Nassar era then there was a hiring and promotion freeze on white males. That policy died long ago thankfully.

But now we have an administration and their minions that want to blame all the problems in the world on DEI. As if every woman was only hired because of DEI.

A classic example - look at that mid-air collision between a military helicopter and a commercial plane. With no data other than the gender of the pilots, the crash was blamed on DEI.

We can be smarter when it comes to Fords problems. A couple of rich white males are the cause of this crash.

@bv

You sound pi$$ed off that the jobs with no point (DEI based) are gone. Instead of merit, being based on something you ARE qualifies you for what? Sprinkle some more fairy dust, follow your heart and have a nice life. Time to get back down to brass tax and focus on how a company actually makes money. Ford or any other large company doesn't really give a monkey's about pride week, DEI, or any of that stuff you know that right? They go with the current thing that will gain them favor with government and industry as a whole (shareholders).
