Thread regarding Cox Automotive layoffs

Something is up

Seeing several long time, highly recognized and loyal employees voluntarily moving on. Looks like they were already looking at options because they were tired of the constant changes and uncertainty going forward.

Many layoffs in Q4. Anyone have a sense for the magnitude and timing for the next wave of layoffs coming in 2023?

So did anything out of the ordinary happen? I know the market pays pretty well now, so a lot of long timers I know across industries are venturing out and getting huge salary increases. The longer you stay, the less pay you get compared to the market. Raises don't keep up with job starting salaries at most companies nowadays.

Yea definitely. They know the layoffs are coming.

Either before the end of the year or right after.

Typically q4 or q1 are the head count reductions.
