I’ve been reading the RTO complaints for months. All anyone ever says is “why? why? why are we doing it?” No one stops to think: An empty building is a LIABILITY on a financial balance sheet, when assessing the value of a company. A utilized building is an ASSET. Simple math.

Simple math would suggest to keep the WFH and empty then sell as many buildings as possible. No longer a liability and the ability to move jobs to low cost geos much easier.
Top performers have always been allowed to WFH at Intel long before the pandemic. The vast majority of people need to be told what to do and kept a sharp eye over to keep them working. If you are being forced to RTO you simply are not a 10xer so stop acting as if you are.
